My favorite way to use the elixirs is probably in baked goods…I love making clean, high vibe treats to enjoy for breaky and snacks. This banana bread recipe with detox + synergy is SO simple, easy to digest and filled with hormone balancing, mood enhancing + gut loving goodness. You can add any By Erika Elizabeth adaptogenic elixirs to your baked goods, pancakes and waffles. They infuse beautifully and add an adaptogenic, stress busting boost.

I’m loving a slice of this grain/gluten free, paleo friendly, banana bread with a drizzle of almond butter, crunchy salt flakes and a detox + synergy latte to wash it down. YUM! You can even make that detox + synergy latte dirty, with a shot of expresso ;)

GOLDEN SYNERGY BANANA BREAD

ingredients:

3 large, ripe bananas (if using smaller bananas, you may need 4-5) - you want it to yield about 1.5 cups of mashed banana

6 organic, pasture-raised eggs - at room temperature

3 tbsp. pure maple syrup

3 tbsp. almond butter OR sunflower seed butter if avoiding nuts

2 tsp. vanilla extract

3/4 cup coconut flour

1.5 tsp. cinnamon

3/4 tsp. baking soda

1 heaping tbsp. detox + synergy elixir

1/8 tsp. salt

method:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees + line a 9x5 inch loaf pan with parchment paper — allowing some to hang over the sides — lightly coat with coconut oil spray and set aside

In a large mixing bowl, mash bananas until smooth. Whisk in eggs, maple syrup, almond butter and vanilla. Gradually add in the coconut flour, cinnamon, baking soda, detox + synergy and salt. Whisk together and transfer to the prepared loaf pan.

Bake for 50-60 minutes. remove from oven and let bread cool for 20-30 minutes.



Digestive Loving, Heart Opening + Brian Boosting Mocktails for Spring + Summer

Recently, some friends and I curated an event for our local Boulder community called Golden Hour. It was designed to be an elevated happy hour - with health supportive, adaptogenic mocktails, vibey music, organic/vegetarian hors d’oeuvres, low lighting, crystal center pieces to activate the space + intuitive readings. We wanted to create an alternative to the outdated bar scene that doesn’t seem to align with a lot of us. I know for me, I love going out on the weekends with friends, but it is rare that I find an environment that I actually love. Our event ended up being a a hit and we intend on offering more Golden Hour’s this summer (stay tuned)!

I was in charge of designing the mocktail menu for the evening and I am excited to say I will be making these drinks all summer long for dinner parties. Everyone loved them and felt amazing after drinking them, so I thought you guys should have the recipes as well. :) Of course, besides tasting good, they all have their therapeutic benefits that make them an appropriate + health supportive drink for any night of the week.

THE GOLDEN:

for digestive fire + metabolism

ingredients:

4 oz. ginger kombucha

2 tbsp. fresh pressed ginger juice

Juice from 1 lime

1 tsp. detox + synergy elixir

1 tsp. cinnamon

4 drops liquid stevia (optional)

10 drops strongwater golden bitters

4-6 oz. soda water

method:

Combine all ingredients into a cocktail shaker or mason jar, except for the soda water, and shake with ice. Strain and transfer to a glass. Top off with soda water.

YIN & TONIC

for softening + heart opening

ingredients:

6 fresh raspberries

1 tsp. by erika elizabeth rose

1 tbsp. rose water

1 tbsp. rose syrup

10 drops lavender lemon balm bitters

a few ice cubes

6-8 oz. soda water

method:

In a glass, muddle raspberry, by erika elizabeth rose, rose water, rose syrup + lavender lemon balm bitters. Add ice, top off with soda water & stir.

CLARITY POTION:

for a clear thinking + alertness

ingredients:

4 oz. fresh squeezed organic grapefruit juice

4 oz. soda water

10 drops sage bitters

1 tsp. by erika elizabeth beauty + brains elixir

1 sprig of fresh rosemary

method:

Combine all ingredients into a cocktail shaker or mason jar, except for the soda water, and shake with ice. Strain and transfer to a glass. Top off with soda water + garnish with fresh rosemary.
